As someone who discovered your work through the Barbican piece that was recommended on a Substack Reads email, it's a pleasure to find another resident of Bradford on Avon! As a 22 year old, it can often feel rather sleepy and antiquated at times in comparison to the bustling streets of some city I imagine working in; so it's nice to be reminded of its beauty through your photos.
Hello fellow BoA resident - good to hear from you. Thank you very much for reading and commenting. I know what you mean - there are many good things about our town, but I need a regular trip to London or Bristol to feed off the energy and be inspired.
Already prepared. Fire is toasty. Central heating is effective. Eye watering oil bill paid. Wood pile high. A little chain saw work every day cuts the metre lengths down to size. And we’re happy. That’s cosy!

Thanks for sharing!
Truely inspiring!
Thank you - very kind of you to say!
Fabulous, Andrew - beautiful imagery!
Thank you very much Steve. The light made it so much easier this morning!
Beautiful. We’ve not had a misty morning and that sort of soft winter sunlight yet. Can’t wait.
Thank you. I hope your new home is warm and cosy by the time the misty mornings come.

That sounds very homely. You look like you are making very good progress (and I love your stylish bookshelves!)
