Beautiful light, beautiful building.

Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield

The traffic had been kind and we had 45 minutes spare on our way to Leeds.

We flowed off the M1, drove into Wakefield and took a stroll around the Hepworth Gallery.

Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, I love the shapes of it’s clean concrete facade.

The late-afternoon autumnal sun popped through the grey clouds and my heart lifted. It is for moments like this that I photograph.
